The difference and application between CPE and ACR

CPE is the abbreviation for chlorinated polyethylene, which is a product of high-density polyethylene after chlorination, with a white appearance of small particles. CPE has the dual properties of plastic and rubber, and has good compatibility with other plastics and rubber. Therefore, except for a few used as the main material, CPE is mostly used in combination with rubber or plastic. When used with plastics, CPE135A is mainly used as a modifier, and its main use is as an impact modifier for PVC products, improving the impact resistance and low-temperature performance of CPVC. It can be used to manufacture CPVC door and window profiles, pipes, and injection products. When used in combination with rubber, CPE mainly improves the flame retardancy, insulation, and aging resistance of rubber. In addition, CPE130A is mostly used for rubber magnetic strips, magnetic sheets, etc; CPE135C can be used as a modifier for flame retardant ABS resin and as an impact modifier for injection molding of PVC, PC, and PE.

ACR is widely recognized as an ideal processing aid for hard PVC products, which can be added to any hard PVC product according to different processing needs. The average molecular weight of processed modified ACR is much higher than that of commonly used PVC resin. Its main function is to promote the melting of PVC resin, change the rheological properties of the melt, and improve the surface quality of the product. It is widely used in the production of profiles, pipes, fittings, plates, gussets, etc.
